Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced HVAC/R Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial heating and air conditioning systems as well as walk-in coolers and freezers. The technician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC and refrigeration systems to ensure optimal performance and efficiency. This is a fulltime, year-round position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems, including heating and air conditioning units, ductwork, and ventilation systems.
  • Service and repair walk-in coolers and freezers, ensuring they are operating efficiently and effectively.
  • Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on HVAC and refrigeration systems to identify and address potential issues.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems in HVAC and refrigeration systems.
  • Perform system checks and adjustments, including calibrating thermostats and controls.
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed, including parts used and time spent.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety procedures and regulations.

 

Qualifications: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical school or formal apprenticeship is a plus.
  • Experience working with commercial HVAC systems and refrigeration units, specifically walk-in coolers and freezers.
  • Strong understanding of HVAC/R systems, components, and controls.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various environments, including confined spaces and rooftops.
