Chief of Party
Overview:
The Chief of Party (COP) will be responsible for providing the vision and overall leadership to the team; managing the Contractor's technical assistance, training, and overall support; overseeing the evaluation and assessment reports and services produced; and coordinating USAID assistance with key counterparts. This position is resident in Peru.
This position is contingent upon contract award.
Primary Responsibilities:
- The COP will have principal responsibility for overall project management and technical operations to ensure that the project tasks are completed, and the objectives of the project are successfully met.
- The COP will lead the Contractor's team and serve as the primary point of contact with USAID regarding day-to-day activity implementation and management matters relating to the contract.
- The COP will have overall responsibility for adequately managing and supervising the work of all personnel under the contract.
- The COP will manage the preparation and presentation of proposed implementation plans and all reports.
- High standards of analytical, statistical, leadership, and emotional intelligence/skills are needed for this position.
Education and/or Experience:
- Master's Degree in Social Sciences or related field
- 8+ years of progressively responsible experience in project management of developmental programs
- 5+ years of experience related to research, evaluation, statistics and/or monitoring projects related to development
- 1 year of experience in Latin American social and cultural development context
- Fluency in spoken and written English is required and proficient in Spanish speaking and writing
