Joining our Carpentry Maintenance team at Dorney Park means you’ll perform inspections, general maintenance, troubleshooting, repair and annual rehabilitation of a variety of different amusement park areas. Areas of responsibility include (but are not limited to) maintenance of wooden rides, building repair and maintenance, event set up and tear down and carpentry upkeep on the property.

Responsibilities:
Responsibilities:
- Interacts with and communicates with various groups and individuals, such as the immediate supervisor, other park managers and staff, co-workers, guests, vendors, contractors, inspectors, etc.
- Climbing and working safely at height is an essential part of this job.
- Familiarity with the safe and effective use of common hand tools such as hammers, saws, levels, squares, chalk lines, etc.
- Ability to safely and effectively use handheld power tools such as nail guns, circular saws, reciprocating saws, drills, belt sanders, etc.
- Ability to safely and effectively use stationary woodworking equipment such as table saws, band saws, planers, spindle sanders, radial arm saws, etc.
- Ability to read and accurately interpret written instructions and drawings and produce the articles described.
- Work with materials such as wood, plastic, fiberglass, or drywall.
- Utilize chisels, planes, saws, drills, and sanders to repair and erect structures.
- Join materials with nails, screws, staples, or adhesives.
- Work on top of scaffolding, ladders, and the top beams of buildings.
- Check work along the way to ensure it's up to code and specifications.
- Use levels, rules, plumb bobs, framing squares, and surveying equipment to ensure everything is level and secure.
- Work with prefabricated buildings.
- Build stairs, mantles, and furniture.
- Install cabinets and molding.
- Remodel offices and structures.
- Create structures for pouring concrete.
- Erect scaffolding.
- Build trench bracing.
- Replace panes of glass, ceiling tiles, and doors , repair or build furniture.
- Install partitions, doors, and windows.
- Perform skilled trade duties including roofing (rubber).
- Move and install machinery.
Qualifications:
- 2 - 4 Years Related Experience in Carpentry, cabinetmaking, or general construction
- At least two year's experience with roofing, siding, or general carpentry in a construction or maintenance setting.
- Familiarity with the safe and effective use of common hand tools such as hammers, saws, levels, squares, chalk lines, etc.
- Ability to safely and effectively use handheld power tools such as nail guns, circular saws, reciprocating saws, drills, belt sanders, etc.
- Ability to safely and effectively use stationary woodworking equipment such as table saws, band saws, planers, spindle sanders, radial arm saws, etc.
