What You Will Do:
You will use a broad and varied skill set that includes understanding of instructional design models and theories, proficiency in virtual & instructor-led modalities, eLearning solutions, training plan creation, and program evaluation. Â
Apply adult learning theories and design and development using best practices, methods, strategies, and evaluation to shape and guide the development and delivery of assets related to systems training. Â
You will be instrumental in evaluating existing training programs and blended learning implementation strategies. You will use your knowledge of quality assurance and design control methods to apply to your work and help the team work efficiently and effectively.
You will create and present professional level materials and produce quality results.
This role is one of individual contributor as a knowledgeable instructional designer and will support project leadership as needed.
What You Will Need:
An ACTIVE and MAINTAINED TS/SCI Federal or DoD security clearance with a FULL SCOPE (FS/FSP) polygraph
Bachelor's degree in eLearning, Communications, or related field; FOUR (4) years' relevant experience may be used in lieu of degree
TEN (10) or more years' experience developing high-quality courses using a combination of web-based training, distance-learning, and instructor-led training.
Familiarity with eLearning software such as Adobe Captivate, Articulate 360, Camtasia, PowerPoint, SnagIt and the Microsoft suite of office software.
Deep knowledge of learning design principles, writing for training purposes, and creating engaging content to illustrate basic to complex concepts and processes for adult learners.
Comprehensive knowledge of methods and possess expertise in developing courseware for a variety of communication delivery methods including instructor-led training (ILT) and web-based training (WBT), and also evaluating already in place courseware to measure its effectiveness.
Strong understanding of ADDIE, SAM, and other instructional design models and the ability to apply them to the context.
Strong communication, presentation, and public speaking skills
Knowledge of 508 accessibility and compliance
What Would Be Nice To Have:
Master's Degree in a relevant area
Knowledge of or experience working in the Intelligence Community and/or Department of Defense.
Highly organized self-starter mentality, with ability to multitask and work under tight deadlines with flexibility.
Solid communication and interpersonal skills for effective interaction with all levels of project teams.
Strong time management skills and ability to transition easily between projects, meetings, and topics.
Strong attention to detail and follow-through skills.
Above average writing skills.
Experience working in the consulting industry
Experience with ERP/HRIS systems
Develop a plan and timeline to create instructional design documentation; products may include, but are not limited to, instructional systems design and documentation, storyboards, narrative scripts, graphics, textbooks, tests, and scenario props.
Experience with incorporating change management in training approach
Experience with proposing, designing, and developing curriculum maps, templates, participant and facilitator guides, performance exercises, evaluations, activities, job aids and all other required materials that would support large scale training.
