C5I Engineer Job Summary
We are seeking a C5I Engineer to support the C5I GM in the delivery of cross-functional Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation and Control Systems, and Cyber System Architectures. You will provide engineering services for a broad spectrum of C5ISR capabilities for USCG cutter systems
C5I Engineer Responsibilities
- Assist with design and integration efforts of C5ISR systems & technologies across maritime platforms
- Participate in the coordination of technical and assessment activities internal and external to the Waterways Commerce Cutter (WCC) Program Systems Integration Laboratory (SIL), including program, engineering, and IS&T disciplines, SMEs, suppliers, and Birdon customers and other US Government agencies/regulations
- Develop specifications and design artifacts to achieve engineering and cybersecurity (CS) deliverables such as drawings, specifications, network architectures, system interfaces, and Network/Navigation system configurations
- Participate in development and implementation of improvement and recovery plans and ensure they are issued, tracked, and reported on
- Create design presentations and brief customers as needed on behalf of government sponsors
- Draft technical reports such as site surveys, test procedures, test reports, trade studies, and white papers
- Write and support executive level papers/briefs for submission
C5I Engineer Position Requirements
- Working knowledge of C5I systems, sensors, and interfaces
- Proven knowledge and proficiency of system engineering processes to execute a cradle-to-grave solution
- Educational or practical experience knowledge of cybersecurity and risk management, and NIST and NEI cybersecurity controls
- GISCP or CISSP security certifications achieved or in process of achieving
- Effective at using data, logic, and instincts to identify opportunities, problems and execute solutions
- One or more IAT Level II Certifications (Security+, Network+, A+, GSEC, SSCP) or AV/VTC experience
