What You Will Do:

  • The Technology Consulting Director in Guidehouse’s State and Local Government Practice has two main roles 1.) lead business development for technology pursuits within a market or account; and 2.) lead technology delivery teams on high impact technology transformation client engagements within a market or account 
  • Business development activities include expanding and extending current technology engagements, relationship-based selling to new clients, managing vendor-partner relations, leading RFP responses, and representing the firm at business development related conferences  
  • Technology delivery activities include client relationship management, technology delivery execution, project financials management, risk/quality management, and client satisfaction management 
  • Ideal candidates will lead with empathy and have an extensive set of relationships, capabilities, and approaches to bring firm offerings to client needs in an authentic, mission-driven, and client-service focused manner 
  • Ideal candidates will have a record of strong employee and team satisfaction metrics, focusing on an employee experience-focused management approach 


What You Will Need:

  • Strong professional network and extensive experience in large state and local government in market 
  • Demonstrated ability in selling, contracting, and launching large and complex technology consulting projects in areas such as Workday, Oracle, SAP, Salesforce, ServiceNow, Microsoft, AWS, Data Management, AI, Cyber Security, etc. 
  • Deep knowledge of state and local government contracting in market; demonstrated experience in selling, managing, and expanding multi-million-dollar contracts with major buyers such as States, Counties, Cities, School Districts, Police Departments, Housing Authorities, Transit Systems, etc. 
  • Demonstrated ability in managing technology delivery in large or medium teams 
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully manage project execution, financials, client satisfaction, and risk/quality 
  • Critical thinking to solve problems and develop innovative solutions to client’s management, technology, and operational challenges 
  • For Directors: 10+ years minimum of experience in technology management consulting with at least 3 years in State & Local Government and defined achievement of sales and delivery goals for 2+ years 
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college/university 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel 
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 


What Would Be Nice To Have:

  • Master's Degree - MBA, Policy, Computer Science, or Engineering degree (or equivalent) 
  • Experience facilitating meetings and public speaking with large groups 
  • Preference will be given to candidates who reside within a reasonable number of miles to a GH hiring office
