Our client, a leading manufacturer in the machining industry, is seeking a CNC Machinist / Programmer to join their team. As a CNC Machinist / Programmer, you will be part of a dedicated team supporting a safe and collaborative work environment. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: CNC Machinist II
Location: Auburn, Alabama
Pay Range: $23.00-24.00 per hour
What's the Job?
- Write, edit, and modify programs for CNC machines.
- Operate CNC machines according to exact tolerances specified on engineering prints.
- Set up and operate manual lathes, saws, and cutting tools to meet precise engineering specifications.
- Perform routine inspections and minor maintenance, ensuring a clean and safe workspace.
- Troubleshoot and resolve operational and quality issues while adhering to safety guidelines.
What's Needed?
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- At least 1-2 years of experience as a fully qualified machinist.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and prints.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and experience with measuring devices such as calipers and micrometers.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
