Come be a part of our mission! The Space Park Engineering Center is seeking a Sr. Staff (level 6) Cyber Systems Engineer to join the team in Aurora, CO to support various programs. The Sr. Staff Cyber Systems Engineer will support system security engineering matters for a large computer facility and will provide technical security consultation, guidance in the design, development, and deployment of secure network infrastructure.  The Cyber Systems Engineer will be responsible for understanding functional system requirements and deriving security controls to provide technical implementation solutions to various engineering teams in order to comply with federal system requirements; identify system design and operational vulnerabilities, and make recommendations to address deficient areas; work with system administrators to securely configure systems per customer security standards, community best practices and benchmarks.  Assist the program to gain certification of systems utilizing and adhering to ICD 503 standards (experience with DCID 6/3 a plus). The candidate will be responsible for drafting and updating security artifacts. Candidate should have exposure and experience securing virtualization technologies to include virtual software, machines and appliances; demonstrated leadership and project execution skills with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines; excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to work in a team-oriented environment and independently; technical presentation skills; demonstrated ability to complete tasks with minimal direction and oversight. This position is contingent upon program award and/or customer funding. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in STEM field and 14 Years of experience in Cyber Systems Engineering; 12 Years of relevant experience with Masters; 10 Years of relevant experience with PhD Current active TS/SCI clearance at time of application Knowledge of networking and computer security processes Experience working with Computer Security/ISSO personnel Experience with real-time operational environments Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work both independently and within a team environment Security+ or CISSP certification Ability to travel 10%.
