The Spirit of the Position

The Assistant Finance Manager will report to the Finance Manager and will assist the Finance Manager in all aspects of the financial operations, reconciliation, and reporting, including but not limited to daily, weekly and monthly cash and credit card depositing, collection, verification and balancing. The Assistant Finance Manager will serve as the secondary point of contact with DEN for matters relating to financial reporting and/or audit requests. The Assistant Finance Manager will work on daily reconciliation processes and task in compliance with finance department of DEN Parking &Transportation as well as with the DEN Contract administrator.

Shift: Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday/Saturday/Sunday 15:00 until 23:30pm

Compensation: $29.00/hour; non-tipped

Principal Job Duties:

  • Assist in preparation and submitting the Operating Revenue Report,
  • Review and reconcile operating expenses reports
  • Review and prepare Payroll and timecard monthly reporting
  • Prepare operating Expense Report, Expense Backup Report
  • Prepare labor usage reports
  • Perform pay station change fund filling and revenue removal and depositing.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly client reporting, and payments as needed.
  • Prepare and assist in daily revenue courier collection.
  • Ensure all points of sales revenue collections are processes as expected.
  • Assisting in maintaining discrepancy documentation and follow up as needed on unreconciled variances.
  • Collect, process and report daily, Cash and Credit card revenue collection.
  • Collect and report all revenue deposits, bank transactions and input of manual credit card transactions and research, analyze, and report variance.
  • Distribution and collection of change funds
  • Coordinate and conduct random audits to ensure policy and procedure compliance.
  • Review of financial policies and procedures compliance
  • Monitor client deposits distribution to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Coordinate and assist all mandatory third-party audits to ensure timeliness and avoid any fines or penalties.
  • Process financial analyses and prepare and submit required reports to onsite airport teams and/or clients as needed.
  • Assist in preparing labor usage reports for operational teams.
  • Address any financial “red flags” that may occur.
  • Additional related duties as assigned

Skills:

  • Ability to comprehend financial reports and work with numbers
  • Office 365 software skills (Excel, Word,Outlook)
  • Ability to learn and work on proprietary application software
  • Strong customer service skills and abilities.
  • Knowledge of basic accounting
  • Basic mathematic skills
  • Ability to balance revenue sales and revenue collection.
  • Ability to create and process financial reporting.
  • Ability to work independently and multi-task.

  • Ability to bend, stoop, squat and lift frequently throughout a shift.
