JOB SUMMARY:

Six Flags is looking for an energetic and creative Digital Content and Public Relations Coordinator to join our team. This role will combine video content creation and public relations efforts to support Six Flags Over Georgia’s and Carowinds' digital presence across social media, website, mobile app, email marketing, and earned media platforms. The ideal candidate will be an excellent storyteller, skilled in both producing multimedia content and executing PR strategies. This individual will collaborate with various internal departments to develop engaging stories and campaigns that resonate with our audience, and contribute to the park’s overall marketing and communications goals.

ACTIVITIES INCLUDE:

  • Comply with proper with debit/credit and mobile payment procedures
  • Content Creation: Write, produce, shoot, and edit engaging video content for social media, website, mobile app, email marketing, and other digital platforms.
  • Story Development: Collaborate with internal departments to identify and create compelling stories for video production. Participate in brainstorming and concept development for video projects.
  • Multimedia Production: Oversee all aspects of production, including scripting, filming, editing, color correction, sound design, and mixing. Deliver polished videos optimized for digital platforms.
  • Photo/Video Coverage: Capture high-quality photos and videos during park events, special promotions, and new attractions to create content for social media and digital channels.
  • Digital Asset Management: Manage and organize video and media assets for easy access and use by the communications team. Maintain the integrity of all media files.
  • PR Support: Assist with writing and editing press materials, blog posts, and other communications to promote initiatives, events, and special campaigns.
  • Social Media Strategy: Work with the PR and social media teams to ensure that video content aligns with brand messaging and engages the audience across platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, etc.
  • Community Engagement: Respond to media inquiries and help coordinate press visits and outreach efforts.
  • Production Coordination: Assist with the management of equipment and resources necessary for content production. Oversee production schedules and ensure timely delivery of digital content.
  • Collaboration: Work alongside the broader marketing and communications team to develop integrated digital campaigns and amplify PR efforts across digital and social platforms.
  • Media Relations Support: Assist in drafting and distributing press releases, media advisories, and other PR materials. Help monitor media coverage and track PR campaigns’ success. Help respond to media inquiries and assist in arranging interviews or background information.
  • Event Coordination Assistance: Support the planning and execution of media events, press conferences, and VIP/media days at the park. Help ensure events run smoothly and assist with logistics.
  • Other Duties as assigned.

 MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field (recent graduates welcome).
  • Experience in video production, including filming, editing, and post-production.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud, including Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, and other editing tools.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms and digital content strategies.
  • Creative thinker with a passion for multimedia storytelling and visual content creation.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills, with experience in crafting compelling stories.
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to meet deadlines and maintain high-quality standards across all content.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed for park events and content creation.
  • Familiarity with the amusement park industry or similar entertainment environments is a plus.
  • Must be able to pass a background check as per company policy.
