You have the opportunity to be considered for the following positions when applying for this role:

Retail Trainer, Rides Lead, and/or Rides Supervisor

Job Summary: Seasonal Leads and Supervisors are responsible for overseeing the safe and efficient operation of a division of rides and Team Members. This position is accountable for delivering a superior guest experience while enforcing all park policies and procedures.  Work and Collaborate with the Rides Full Time Supervisor with the overall management of the rides department. Ensure that the operation of the department works within budgetary guidelines.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Oversee the daily operations of a Ride Department area.
• Ensure all Ride Operators and Attendants are adhering to all policies and procedures within their Standard Operating Procedure.
• Maintain positive interaction with all guests and fellow Team Members.
• Maintain paperwork documentation regarding inspection checklists, training checklists, and labor monitoring, including paperwork completed by Area Leads.
• Develop a break schedule that adheres to Labor Laws on the State, Federal, and Park level.
• Ensure all team members are properly trained.
• Ensure all assigned rides and attractions are maximizing throughput.
• Earn and maintain certifications while remaining in compliance with the safety standards.
• Conduct daily ride audits to ensure safety of guests is being met and team members are reaching or exceeding service standards of performance.
• Conduct coaching/counseling sessions with Team Members and Leads.
• Serve as a Park Guest Service Ambassador and work to resolve all guest concerns brought to your attention.
• Monitor team member demeanor and performance; reward, motivate, and/or reprimand as needed.
• Enforce all Six Flags policies and standards on a daily basis.
• Be an active member and role model for the Operations Team.
• Other duties as assigned.

Payrate: $12.50 - $15/hr.

Skills and Qualifications: 

• At least 18 years of age
• Be able to communicate effectively in the English language, including the ability to read, speak, and understand the English language
• Must have previous rides experience. Rides leadership experience is preferred for Supervisor position.
• Be available to work flexible hours at night, on weekends and on holidays.
• Must have a valid Driver’s License.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must.
• Must possess an enthusiastic and positive Guest First Orientation and enjoy working with people.
• Ability to motivate with excellent leadership skills
• Must be self-motivated
• Outstanding performance as a team member
• Must be able to respond immediately, adapt to, and oversee all emergencies
• Strong attention to detail

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Continued sitting, standing, and bending; frequent kneeling.
• Eye/hand coordination, near vision, hearing, and speech. Manual dexterity, gross motor skills, and color
definition.
• Stand/walk for up to 4 hours at a time and as many as 14 hours a day; walk over 3 miles per day over
various surfaces.
• Lift and carry 25 lbs. over 25 feet over various surfaces; lift and lower 5 lbs. above shoulder level.
• Must be able to climb a stepladder up to 6 feet in height. Climb a 40-foot tower.
• Must be able to walk a two-hundred-foot lift hill.
