Job Description
At Northrop Grumman, our employees have incredible opportunities to work on revolutionary systems that impact people's lives around the world today, and for generations to come. Our pioneering and inventive spirit has enabled us to be at the forefront of many technological advancements in our nation's history - from the first flight across the Atlantic Ocean, to stealth bombers, to landing on the moon. We look for people who have bold new ideas, courage and a pioneering spirit to join forces to invent the future and have fun along the way. Our culture thrives on intellectual curiosity, cognitive diversity and bringing your whole self to work — and we have an insatiable drive to do what others think is impossible. Our employees are not only part of history, but they're also making history. Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a Principal/ Senior Principal Analog Integrated Circuit Design Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals.  This position will be located onsite in Linthicum, Maryland.
Roles and Responsibilities:
The EDIC group delivers full-custom ICs to provide the core functionality of our Advanced Multifunction Sensor products. In support of that activity, we are seeking a Principal/Sr. Principal Analog Integrated Circuit Design Engineer for design and implementation of the analog circuits which provide regulated voltages currents and sense RF signals as well as other circuit operating conditions. The analog parameters are supplied in digital form for use by the host system to allow accurate control, test and instrumentation. Most of our designs operate at radio and microwave frequencies but we also design circuits to operate in the optical frequency range from Long Wave IR to the visible part of the spectrum. For these circuits the analog circuitry is in the primary signal path and provides wide dynamic range signal processing and conversion
This requisition may be filled as a Principal Analog Intergrated Circuit Design Engineer or Senior Principal Analog Intergrated Circuit Design Engineer
This position is contingent upon the ability to obtain/ maintain an active DoD Secret Clearance or the transferal of an active DoD Secret Clearance and contract award.

- Strong transistor level circuit design and analysis skills.
- Good understanding of fundamental semiconductor device physics.
- Familiarity with common analog circuits such as amplifiers, bandgap volage references, voltage regulators as well as A/D and D/A converters.
- Familiarity with Signal processing functions such as Integrators, differentiators, and filters.
- Familiarity with schematic entry and simulation tools such as Cadence ADE, Explorer/Assembler, Virtuoso, and Spectre. Use of the tools to characterize DC and AC performance such as bandwidth, gain/phase margin, PSRR over process/voltage/temperature corners.
