The Johns Hopkins Float Pool & Resource Office is a centralized team of highly skilled nursing professionals trained in our hospital’s care and practice standards. This unit responds to immediate staffing needs across various departments, ensuring high-quality care and operational continuity.

As a Nursing Coordinator, you will bring a comprehensive understanding of nursing roles, staffing dynamics, workflows, and clinical operations. You will make efficient, timely staffing assignments or delegate this process to Central Nursing Coordinators, collaborating closely with bed management and Nursing Unit Charge Nurses to ensure bed availability and optimal staffing ratios based on patient placement and care needs.

Shifts: 12 hour Shifts | Day/Evening rotating | Weekend Rotation

Qualifications:

  • BSN from an accredited nursing program required.
  • Active Maryland or Compact RN license is required
  • BLS CPR certification required: AHA, or Red Cross accepted
  • Minimum of 3 years of related RN clinical experience
  • Proficiency in interpreting and implementing policies, serving as a clinical resource, and providing guidance to nursing staff and other healthcare team members. Accountability for self and peers is essential in the absence of the Nurse Manager.

Salary Range: Minimum 48.32 per hour - Maximum 74.90 per hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
