Northrop Grumman Space Systems Payload and Ground Systems Division in Baltimore, MD is seeking a Staff Systems Engineer to lead the development of Performance Test Plans, Procedures, and Analysis Tools for the Integration and Test (I&T) of a Space RADAR Payload; and, to lead the subsequent I&T execution as the Test Director in a compact range RF anechoic chamber.

We need someone who can take initiative to seek out and work with the technical Space RADAR SMEā€™s (Subject Matter Experts) to define the tests we will run in the range; and, to work with them to evaluate the Payload Performance and to fix deficiencies and failures with the tests or the unit under test.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics or Mathematics with 12 years of related experience; 10 years with MS

  • RADAR integration and test experience

  • Experience with MATLAB, Python, and Tcl

  • Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Top Secret clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with the ability to obtain and maintain SCI approval/access.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Space RADAR integration and test experience

  • Familiarity with FSW (Flight Software) in C++

  • Familiarity with the Atlassian tool suite (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket)

Salary Range: $157,500 - $236,300
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
