Description:

Johns Hopkins Hospital is seeking a motivated and experienced Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our Vascular Surgery team. The successful candidate will primarily support ambulatory clinics, new patient intake, office functions such as in-basket management, patient call, and paperwork management. Additionally, there may be opportunities for scope expansion to assist on the acute care unit, weekend coverage, and/or ambulatory cardiac surgery coverage.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive care to patients in the ambulatory setting under the supervision of attending physicians.
  • Assist with new patient intake, conducting assessments, and developing treatment plans.
  • Manage in-basket tasks, patient calls, and paperwork to ensure efficient clinic operations.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Participate in patient education and counseling.
  • Provide assistance as needed in acute care unit, weekend coverage, and ambulatory cardiac surgery coverage.

Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
  • Current licensure as a Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Maryland.
  • Certification by the appropriate certifying body (e.g., ANCC, AANP, NCCPA).
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in vascular surgery or a related specialty preferred.
  • Strong clinical assessment and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to changing priorities.

Salary Range: Minimum 53.15 per hour - Maximum 82.38 per hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
