TRC's client is a national manufacturer within the residential construction industry looking for a Residential Drafter / Designer to join their team in the Rocky Mount, NC area on a full-time, direct hire basis.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Complete preliminary blueprints, final blueprints, and other related documents in a timely and accurate manner.
- Ensure product designs meet required safety and structural standards.
- Cross-collaborate with other departments within the company to coordinate designs according to the needs of the customer.
- Interact with 3rd party structural engineering firms as necessary.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Associate’s Degree required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
- 3+ years of drafting experience with proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other 3D computer drafting / modeling software
- Proficient in Microsoft programs (Excel, Word, etc.)
- Exceptional work ethic and communication skills with ability to work effectively in both independent and collaborative team-based environments
- Knowledge of residential building codes with prior experience in residential construction preferred
