Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is looking to add an Electronics Engineer – Field Operations OR Principal Electronics Engineer – Field Operations to our team at Beale AFB, CA. This position will be in our Avionics Integration Organization. The selected candidate will be required to work full-time, on-site at our facility. There is no remote / hybrid / telework available for this position. This position requires the ability to travel up to 25% of the time. This candidate will be responsible for the integrating and testing software/hardware systems in complex IT systems. Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Perform datacenter hardware/software installation, configuration, and testing for both new systems and upgrades to existing complex IT systems. Physically construct rack-based datacenter systems with a focus on safety, quality, and ease of repair. Install system interconnect cabling for communications, audio, networking, and serial interfaces. Interpret, markup/redline, and audit released engineering drawings. Deploy and configure operating systems such as Windows, Linux, Solaris, and vMware ESXi. Configure and markup system build guides/procedures for IT hardware such as switches, workstations, virtual machines, and Keyboard Video Mouse Audio (KVMA)/PCOIP devices. Maintain system hardware/software configuration and troubleshoot issues as needed. Execute both temporary and permanent changes to the system via established processes. Provide expert software, hardware, and system support to on-site end-users. Support the engineering team(s) with software defect resolution and enhancement efforts. Perform integrated logistics support (ILS) and inventory tracking for inbound and outbound hardware. Participate in offsite upgrades and system integration activities. The selected candidate will be working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment working closely with engineers, technicians, and other on-site personnel. The candidate will be supporting a program where application of extensive technical expertise will be required to support a complex IT system. This position can be filled at either the Electronics Engineer – Field Operations level or the Principal Electronics Engineer – Field Operations level, depending upon the qualifications below.
