Position Title: Machine Operator – 2nd Shift
Wage: $19.00 - $21.00/hour
Shift: 2nd
Are you ready to spring into a new career? We're looing for a skilled spring coiler operator to join one of our clients located in Beaver Dam, WI. This positions offers a family atmosphere, and career growth opportunities!
Machine Operator Responsibilities:
- Read blueprints, job orders, tooling instructions and standard charts for such specifications as dimensions, tolerances and tooling instruction (type of holding fixtures, cutting speeds, feed rates and cutting tools to be used)
- Operate forklift truck, hand truck or crane to move, convey or hoist spring wire from storage area to work area
- Complete coiling of springs according to the work order
- Inspect springs for proper dimensions and checks for desired length
- Clean machines and perform minor maintenance
- Assist less experienced operators in selection of tooling and operation of equipment
Requirements for Machine Operator:
- High school diploma or general education degree; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience or when necessary on the job training is used
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints, safety rules, plant rules and policies, operating instructions and procedure manuals
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
