BJC Medical Group Cardiology at Belleville  is seeking a BC experienced Interventional Cardiologist to serve as Leader of our practice based at Memorial Hospital in Belleville, Illinois.  This is a great opportunity to utilize your leaderhsip skills with our successful team of 7 cardiologists.

Practice Details:

  • Join 7 highly trained Cardiologists and 4 Nurse Practitioners
  • Call would be 1:5
  • APPs assist with inpatient rounding
  • Dedicated Medical Assistant for each cardiologist
  • Experienced and friendly support staff 
  • 2-3 days in Cath Lab; 1-2 days in Clinic
  • Dedicated Cath Lab time
  • Main clinic located on the hospital campus - close to cath lab
  • Strong support from cardiac and vascular support team

Role Purpose

Ensures optimal care and promotes safety of patients admitted to assigned service in cooperation with the private attending staff and nursing staff. Communicates with staff, patients, and families.

 

Responsibilities

  • Manages the medical care of assigned patients.
  • Collaborates with patients, families, and members of the health care team to ensure excellent clinical outcomes.
  • Performs and documents histories and physicals in the patient's medical record as required by hospital by-laws.
  • Supervises and instructs medical students and residents assigned to service. Assists in the learning needs of residents and students as assessed.
