Baxter is currently seeking a Mechanical Engineering Intern to join the R&D team at our Bellevue office for the summer. In this role, you will be a part of the mechanical engineering team, working on designs and assemblies as well as driving and assisting continuous improvement projects. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional team members and stakeholders on projects that enable our team to innovate and deliver products and solutions that better the lives of patients. What you'll be doing: Innovate and generate mechanical designs for new products, improvements to existing ones, and product assemblies. Serve as project lead on mechanical-related projects. Contribute to a collaborative environment, helping to establish lean but effective practices. Deliver high quality and timely results to meet the business needs. Work cross-functionally to contribute to deliverables during the product development lifecycle. What you'll bring: Working towards a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or other equivalent. Experience and familiarity with CAD software tools, such as SolidWorks. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills. An autonomous self-starter personality with a culture of collaboration. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
