Job Specifications/Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of management level experience in medical clinic operations required

Preferred experience in multi-disciplinary environment

Standard office equipment including computers, fax machines, copiers, printers, telephones, etc.

 

Education

Bachelor’s degree in health care administration, business administration, or health administration required

 

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations  

None required

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties or task may be requested or assigned by immediate supervisor, his/her designee, or other management/supervisor.

 

  • Manages the daily operation of clinics by creating and implementing policies and procedures
  • Supervises administrative clinic staff
  • Helps Director of Physician Services develop organizational strategic plans and objectives based upon identified needs of patients
  • Manages and maintains electronic health record for clinics.
  • Knowledgeable of principles and practices of health care planning and management sufficient to manage, direct, and coordinate the operation of  multiple clinics
  • Knowledgeable of regulatory requirements sufficient to manage multidisciplinary clinic operations
  • Knowledgeable of medical billing and collection processes
  • Must know how to effectively communicate with organization stakeholders such as patients, providers, insurance companies, vendors, contractors, regulatory bodies, and colleagues
  • Must be familiar with CPT & ICD-10 codes
  • Skilled in exercising a high degree of initiative, judgment, discretion, and decision-making to achieve the objectives of the Physician Services department and the hospital
  • Skilled in analyzing situations accurately and taking effective action
  • Skilled in organizing work, making assignments, and achieving goals and objectives
  • Skilled in exercising judgment and discretion in developing, applying, interpreting, and coordinating departmental policies and procedures
  • Able to assume responsibility and exercise authority over assigned work functions
  • Able to establish and maintain quality control standards
  • Able to organize and integrate organizational priorities and deadlines
  • Jointly manage all Quality Programs with the Clinic Nurse Manager to improve patient outcomes and leverage financial opportunities
  • Assist the Director of Physician Services with planning, organizing, and leading of Capital projects such as new practice locations or major equipment purchasing
