About Us:

Johns Hopkins Suburban Hospital is a leading healthcare institution committed to providing exceptional patient care, advancing medical research, and educating the next generation of healthcare professionals. We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Acute Care Nurse Practitioner to join our Trauma team. This role primarily involves rounding on the floor and conducting trauma patient consultations from Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend and holiday backup (limited).

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality, evidence-based care to trauma patients. Assess and manage acute and critical conditions in trauma patients, ensuring timely and effective interventions. Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, including history-taking, physical examinations, and diagnostic interpretation. Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. Participate in rounds, case conferences, and ongoing education to stay abreast of the latest advancements in trauma care. Provide compassionate and patient-centered care to individuals and their families during times of crisis.

Qualifications:

  • Master's or Doctorate degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
  • Current Acute Care Nurse Practitioner certification.
  • Board certification as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner.
  • Previous experience in trauma or critical care settings preferred. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic healthcare environment.
