The Behavioral Health Nurse Educator (Nursing Professional Development Specialist) will support our Nursing Education Dept. and is responsible for contributing to quality patient care through staff development activities. This includes identification of competence requirements for populations served, skills assessment of unit staff prioritization and enhancement of developmental needs. You will develop, encourage, and validate nursing practice in the clinical setting on to support the professional growth of novice nurses.

What you will need:

  • Licensure as a RN in Maryland or other compact state.
  • Minimum of 3 years RN Behavioral Health experience.
  • BSN required; MSN or enrolled in MSN program with commitment to complete within 3 years strongly preferred.
  • Nursing Professional Development or Behavior Health certification preferred or required within 2 years.

Salary Range: Minimum $47.93 per hour - Maximum $74.29 per hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
