Beverly Hospital, located in Beverly Massachusetts is part of the Beth Israel Lahey Health System. The Beverly PACU consists of 15 PACU bays, 10 Pre-op holding bays, and 6 Surgical Day Care bays. We provide a wide range of specialties including; orthopedics, GYN, general, vascular, thoracic, spine, pediatrics, cysto, and ENT.
The peri anesthesia Registered Nurse is responsible for providing safe patient care for patients before and after operative and other invasive procedures. In this role, you will assume responsibility for the care of the peri anesthesia patient including assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care during the peri anesthesia phases of care.
As a Registered Nurse (RN) for our Peri anesthesia Team, you will be responsible for the following:
- Complete assessments, administer medications/treatment, observe patient’s progress and evaluates therapies for clinical outcomes and effectiveness
- Collaborate with physicians and other medical professionals to develop an optimal health care plan for each patient
- Support and educate patients and their families to achieve maximum outcomes
- Follows guidelines of Peri anesthesia practice through recommendations of The American Society of Peri anesthesia Nurses (ASPAN)
Education: BSN preferred
Licensure, Certification, Registration: Current MA RN license, BCLS/ACLS/PALS required, certification in specialty area preferred
Experience: At least 1-2 years of work experience peri anesthesia, ER, or critical care
