Budget Analyst IV
Overview:
The Budget Analyst performs a variety of advanced accounting and budgetary activities as they relate to
specific staffing and training programs within the Foreign Affairs Training Center (FASTC).
Primary Responsibilities:
- Advises customer on financial matters.
- Works with outside agencies on budgetary matters:
- Analyzes budgets.
- Analyzes financial data.
- Analyzes financial information to project future revenues or expense.
- Compiles data for financial reports.
- Computes financial data; consult with managerial or supervisory personnel.
- Formulates budgets.
- Drafts or maintains budgeting databases.
- Makes presentations on financial matters.
- Monitors operational budget.
- Processes invoices for payment.
- Exercises independent judgement and initiative on a daily basis and requires infrequent
supervision.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
None
Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelors degree preferred and or equivalent experience;
- Five (5) years relevant experience or three (3) year with Masters degree;
- Two (2) years as a Budget Analyst III or equivalent experience
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Must be highly organized and have excellent oral and written communication skills in order to interface with DS personnel and other government agencies at all levels ;#JOB: Budget Analyst IV Page 2 of Updated: May 16, 2024 Company Confidential.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously;
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing;
- Knowledge of office policies, practices and procedures;
- Must demonstrate thorough knowledge of Microsoft applications (MS Word, PowerPoint). Solid
- Excel experience is a must;
- Experience working with databases;
- Knowledge of basic accounting skills helpful;
- Ability to work independently;
- Completion of appropriations law course training;
- Department of State experience preferred.

Security Clearance:
- Possess or be able to obtain/maintain a SECRET security clearance;
- Must be a U.S. Citizen;
- Must be able to maintain required Security Clearance/access approvals.

answer the phone, type on a keyboard, move files, etc.
