The Staff Pad has partnered with Blue Ridge Medical Center in Blue Ridge, Georgia. Blue Ridge Medical Center is seeking a dedicated and experienced Risk Manager / Quality Coordinator RN to lead initiatives in patient safety, quality improvement, and risk mitigation. This individual will also support employee health services and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. This is a full-time, day shift position offering a dynamic opportunity to make a significant impact on the delivery of healthcare and organizational performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the organization's risk management program, including identification, analysis, and mitigation of risks to patients, staff, and the organization
- Lead quality assurance and performance improvement (QAPI) activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards
- Track, report, and investigate incident reports, patient complaints, and adverse events
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to develop and implement quality improvement initiatives
- Conduct audits, root cause analyses, and staff education on quality and safety practices
- Assist in employee health coordination, including immunization tracking, TB screening, injury/incident follow-ups, and occupational health protocols
- Ensure compliance with infection control and workplace safety standards
- Maintain confidentiality and accurate documentation in accordance with HIPAA and institutional policies
Qualifications:
- Current RN license in the state of Georgia (required)
- BSN preferred
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience in a hospital or healthcare setting (preferred)
- Prior experience in quality management, risk management, or patient safety strongly preferred
- Experience in employee health or occupational health is a plus
- Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements (e.g., The Joint Commission, CMS, OSHA)
- Excellent communication, leadership, and analytical skills
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments and lead process improvements
