Position Purpose:
The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) provides exceptional patient care through evaluation, program planning, and implementation of therapy interventions to restore function and prevent disability. The PTA also promotes physical therapy by educating students, staff, and healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Care: Assist in evaluating and implementing patient care plans, delivering therapeutic interventions, and maintaining accurate treatment records.

Collaboration: Communicate with physicians, staff, patients, and families regarding treatment plans and patient progress, and contact referring physicians for updates on care.
Professional Development: Participate in educational activities and training for students and staff. Engage in personal and professional development opportunities.
Safety and Ethics: Follow safety protocols, report hazards, and maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with ethical standards.
Position Qualifications:
Education: Associate's degree or higher in Physical Therapist Assistant curriculum from a CAPTE-accredited program.
Experience: Relevant field experience preferred; CPR certification required.
Licenses/Certificates: Current Georgia license to practice as a PTA; successful completion of approved PTA education and examination.
