Digital Experience Product Owner, Worksite – Third Party Distribution & New Markets, Full-Time, Springfield, Boston, NYC Offices
The Opportunity
The Worksite Digital Experience Product Owner will play a critical role in delivering digital solutions to our customers. This role will partner with multiple parties to be the primary owner of requirements and user stories for all personas who will be digitally enabled.
The Worksite Team needs a business and digital experience focused Product Owner who demonstrates accountability, agility, a balance of both technical and business acumen, as well as dedication to being inclusive of colleagues. Excellent communication and collaboration skills are required. As a Product Owner on our team, you will work across the Enterprise with Worksite business and technology partners to create, drive, and execute strategies resulting in cohesive customer experiences. This work is highly visible with broad and deep scope. The Product Owner will work specifically with the Worksite customer base and the associated personas. Product will be the primary purveyor of requirements and user stories for Worksite solutions.

The Worksite Insurance business is growing as we aim to reach middle class workers in support of MassMutual’s vision to provide financial well-being to all Americans. Worksite has achieved success in recent years distributing our Group Voluntary and Executive products through our multi-channel distribution relationships. To further this success, we must continue to evolve our strategy to reach more benefits producers and customers, while providing them an enhanced self-service, digital experience to allow us to aggressively grow top line sales. Worksite, which provides protection benefits such as life, disability, critical illness and accident insurance through employers, complements MassMutual’s retirement plans business with the goal of enhancing the financial wellness of Americans through their employers.

Product Backlog ManagementÂ
Prioritize and manage the product backlog, translating stakeholder requirements into actionable user stories. This focuses the team on high-value features, improving productivity and delivering maximum user benefit.Â
Cross-functional CollaborationÂ
Work with marketing, sales, enrollment, and customer support to gather insights and ensure cohesive product experience. This fosters teamwork and shared goals, contributing to the product's overall success.Â
User Experience OptimizationÂ
Improve user experience through testing, feedback analysis, and usability enhancements. This drives customer retention and loyalty, creating products users love and recommend.Â
Performance Monitoring and ReportingÂ
Track product performance via KPIs and metrics, reporting findings to stakeholders. This supports data-driven decision-making and aligns product progress with business objectives.Â
The Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree
7+ years of experience in a Product Owner, Business Analyst, Business Consultant, or similar role
1+ year of experience working with user stories, requirements and business flows
1+ year of experience working with internal and external teams in an Agile/SCRUM methodology
The Ideal Qualifications
Experience with Group Insurance, Worksite or Voluntary Benefits
Financial Services, FinTech, InsurTech, Life Insurance and/or Annuities, and/or Disability is highly desired
Experience in a Product Manager, Product Owner, or Business Analyst capacity
Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work in a rapid and iterative development environment
