Hyperion Administrator - Financial Planning & Analysis - Hybrid Boston, MA or Wyomiissing, PA

The Hyperion Administrator (Financial Planning & Analysis Senior Analyst) is responsible for maintenance, support, and optimization of Oracle's Hyperion Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) suite used for financial planning, reporting, and consolidation.  Working with finance, accounting and IT teams, the position ensures that Hyperion solutions meet business needs. 

This is a key role within the Finance systems team, supporting FP&A reporting and planning, via provision of multiple EPM cubes.

Ideal Candidate -

  • Will have experience as a Hyperion Administrator in a financial institution or related environment. 
  • Hands-on experience with Hyperion EPM Suite.
  • Experience with financial planning, financial analysis, and/or budgeting.
  • Able to work hybrid either in Boston, MA or Wyomissing, PA where you'd be in office 3 days a week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaboration and Training:
    • Collaborate with central and business finance teams, to understand business requirements.  Develop suitable recommendations and liaise with IT to develop technical solutions.
    • Develop user manuals and process documentation. 
    • Provide training and guidance to end-users on system features and best practices.
  • User Support, Troubleshooting and Communication:
    • Develop deep understanding of system configurations to enable SME support of end-users.
    • Provide technical support for end-users, resolve user issues, and guide them in proper use of Hyperion applications.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve complex systems issues and performance problems in a timely manner.
    • End-user communications, including system status, data availability, and new features.
  • Data Integration and Workflow Management:
    • Develop and manage data validations to ensure integrity and accuracy of financial data.
    • Support financial reporting, planning and consolidation processes, including developing/managing hierarchies, metadata, scripts, forms and manual data loads.
  • Security and Access Control:
    • Work with information security to ensure system access is compliant.
    • Conduct periodic review of user access and support new users access requests.
  • Performance Tuning and Optimization:
    • Monitor system performance and optimize configurations to ensure maximum efficiency.
    • Work with IT on tuning of Hyperion system to ensure optimal performance.

Education:  

Required - Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, or equivalent field.

Work Experience:  

Required – Oracle Hyperion, financial planning, financial analysis, Budgeting, or similar field, 3-5 years.

Preferred – Proven experience as a Hyperion Administrator in a financial institution or related environment.  Hands-on experience with Hyperion EPM suite.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent communications and organizational skills.
  • Meticulous with ability to research, organize and analyze financial data.
  • Ability to focus on details.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Proficient data entry skills; Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic knowledge of financial analysis, financial concepts, accounting principles, and budgeting procedures.
  • Ability to collaborate well with teams as well as independently.
  • Strong people skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and projects according to stakeholder and departmental priorities.
  • Experience with budgets, planning, and forecasting

Working Conditions:
