Director, Corporate Services & Travel

Purpose Statement -

The Director, Corporate Services & Travel is responsible for the day-to-day oversight of the Corporate Services function and accountable for developing strategies to deliver sustainable results across various Corporate Services team by identifying new opportunities for value and process improvement. Additionally, the incumbent is responsible for developing strong and effective business partner relationships with senior leaders across multiple functions and regions, while enabling and inspiring a team. The Director manages a portfolio of categories and have accountability to delivery against department and functional goals.

Responsibility Statements –

  • Oversee day to day operations of all Corporate Service functions within the services area of responsibility. Functions include Corporate Travel and the Executive Services Team.
  • Troubleshoot customer service issues and assure compliance with Corporate Services programs. Interact with team members, management, and suppliers to resolve customer service issues. Guide employees through day-to-day Corporate Service’s issues including policy, compliance improvements, and cost savings best practices.
  • Analyze data, monitor, and report on Corporate Services related expenditures, budgets, and compliance monthly.
  • Function as the Service Manager for all Corporate Services related vendors and conduct assessments. Collaborate with the Vendor management team to perform Third-Party Vendor Management oversight. Work with Aquanima to onboard or renew vendor contracts as needed.
  • Manage employee access to Corporate Services related systems, sites, and network sources.
  • Update and maintain the Corporate Travel and Corporate Services intranet content, ensuring information accuracy. Maintain the Corporate Services SharePoint sites as a tool for the team to share files, process tasks, and manage projects as needed.
  • Work with Santander Group Technology to ensure the Concur Travel online booking tool and the Travel Portal get updated, travel policy settings are correct, functionality needs are reported, and the user experience is kept optimal. Update policy changes annually.
  • Assist and advise management with fares/rates w/travel vendors and RFP preparation in conjunction with Aquanima. Actively manage travel suppliers through periodic business reviews, contract management and performance evaluations. Creating data metrics to track supplier performance and cost effectiveness of negotiated agreements.
  • Maintain close relationships with internal teams such as Accounts Payable, IT, Risk, International Mobility, Business Continuity, Audit, Security, Facilities, Corporate Insurance, and Human Resources to foster successful collaborations.
  • Update, obtain approvals, and publish the Travel & Entertainment Policy and Corporate Liability Card Standard annually. This includes cascading the documents to the Santander US entities.
  • Work with the Executive Service Managers to establish process and protocols to ensure the team is providing coverage for assigned executives. This includes work schedules for in the office coverage and full day coverage across multiple time zones.
  • Develop and maintain the Executive Service Team program and procedure documents which govern the program and provides guidance on the day-to-day operations of the executive assistants.

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience: Finance, Accounting, Business, or equivalent field. Req
  • Master's Degree Finance, Accounting, Business, or equivalent field. Pref


Work Experience:

  • 9+ Years Experience in the Banking/Financial sector and/or Management Consultancy. Req
  • 9+ Years Strong experience in some of the following functional areas (Financial Management, Budgeting, Cost Control, Procurement, Organization and Processes, IT Development). Req

Working Conditions:

Frequent Minimal physical effort such as sitting, standing and walking. Occasional moving and lifting equipment and furniture is required to support onsite and offsite meeting setup and teardown. Physically capable of lifting up to fifty pounds, able to bend, kneel, climb ladders.
