Senior Cyber Security Architect

The Security Solutions Architect will work closely with architecture, engineering, and development teams across all of Information Technology and Cybersecurity to ensure that projects and new initiatives are designed and implemented in accordance with established policies, standards, and regulatory compliance.  

Key Responsibilities: 

• Collaborate with senior cyber security architects to understand business requirements and design effective security solutions
• Assist in conducting risk assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities and threats
• Participate in the development and implementation of security policies, procedures, and standards
• Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration tests to identify and address potential weaknesses in our systems
• Assist in managing security tools and technologies, ensuring their effectiveness and efficiency
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and developments in the field of cyber security, and make recommendations for continuous improvement
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security measures into system development lifecycles
• Provide a security architecture focus on security capability such as Zero Trust  and Identity Access Management

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology, related discipline, or commensurate industry experience

Skills and Qualifications: 

• Strong understanding of cyber security principles, concepts, and technologies
• Knowledge of network protocols, operating systems, and security frameworks
• Familiarity with security technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, encryption, and authentication mechanisms
• Experience with vulnerability assessment and penetration testing tools
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
• Self-motivated and eager to learn, with a strong passion for cyber security
• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) are a plus
• Prior experience in a related role or internship is preferred but not mandatory

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location. Candidates need to successfully complete a pre-employment screen, which may include a drug test and DMV check.
