The Clinical Administrative Coordinator provides clerical, secretarial and administrative support for the Care Management Team. Under the direction and supervision of the licensed staff, the CMA performs the following activities and processes; post-acute care coordination (Skilled Nursing Facility, Home Health Care, Durable Medical Equipment, Hospice, etc.,) revenue related activities (authorizations, certifications and payer communications), stocking and monitoring office supplies and equipment while maintaining accurate and complete departmental records. This position may function as the point of contact for the careÂ
management department and is responsible for the professional and timely response to calls, messages and the forwarding of communications to the responsible party.Â
The CMA may be assigned other duties within the scope of the role, including, but not limited to, scheduling, faxing, auditing, transcribing, filing, delivering, sorting, editing, tracking and correlating the departments documentation, records and forms.  This position emphasizes optimizing the licensed staff’s productivity by providing clerical support, managing confidential patient information and ensuring the compliant and accurate management of departmental records and communications
This position is full-time Sunday - Thursday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work during our normal business hours of 8:00 am - 4:30 pm. It may be necessary to work on weekends. Our office is located at 4747 Arapahoe Road Boulder, CO 80303.Â
We offer 4 weeks of paid training. The hours during training will be 8:00 am - 4:30 pm from Monday - Friday.

Primary Responsibilities:Â
- The CMA complies with confidentiality policies, HIPPA regulations and organizational standards when transmitting protected patient information to external agencies and vendors as needed for placement, payment or referral.
- The CMA provides administrative support for the department by performing assigned tasks OR activities that do not require a clinical license.
- The CMA ensures office supplies and department equipment are available, current and functional.
- The CMA schedules arranges and facilitates post-acute care referrals, Durable Medical Equipment, or follow up appointments under the supervision of licensed staff. This includes daily updates or communication between the department and post-acute provider regarding changes in anticipated discharge date, needs or plan.
- The CMA prioritizes and forwards communications relating to insurance requests, denials and Physician Advisor status recommendations to the appropriate Care Manager and documents any related authorizations, denials or status determinations in the designated EMR or software program.
- This position may obtain patient OR family signatures on required documentation under the supervision of the clinical staff and maintains such documents in accordance with hospital policy.
- Ability to effectively read, write, and speak, cognitively process and emotionally support performing other duties as assigned.
- All employees are expected to remain flexible to meet the needs of the hospital, which may include floating to other departments to assist as the patient needs fluctuate.

Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma / GED
- Must be 18 years of age OR older Â
- 1+ year of customer service experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Microsoft Word (create / edit documents) and Microsoft Outlook (send / receive emails)Â
- Ability to work onsite at 4747 Arapahoe Road Boulder, CO 80303
- Ability to work between the hours of 8:00 am - 4:30 pm from Sunday - Thursday

Preferred Qualifications:
- 1+ years of experience in an office OR medical environment
- Experience working in the healthcare OR insurance industry
- EPIC experienceÂ
- Experience with Microsoft Excel (data entry, manipulation of spreadsheets)

- Excellent customer service and presentation skills are a must
- Interpersonal and written communication skills are essential
- Demonstrated ability to apply analytical and problem-solving skills

Colorado Residents Only: The hourly range for this role is $16.54 to $32.55 per hour. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
