Shift Supervisor – Full-Time (EMS) Days

Position Summary
The Shift Supervisor oversees daily EMS operations, providing leadership and support to crews while ensuring compliance with company and industry standards. This position requires a strong communicator, an adaptable problem-solver, and a mentor to EMTs and paramedics.
Responsibilities
Operational Oversight
- Lead and support EMS crews during shifts as the primary point of contact for operational issues.
- Ensure timely dispatch, resource allocation, and readiness of crews and equipment.
- Manage shift scheduling and adjust staffing as necessary.
Quality Assurance
- Review run tickets and documentation for compliance with policies and regulations.
- Provide constructive feedback and coaching on documentation and protocol adherence.
Team Leadership and Development
- Foster a collaborative and positive team environment, promoting professionalism and adherence to company values.
- Assist in onboarding and training new employees, ensuring they meet operational expectations.
Employee and Stakeholder Support
- Address questions and concerns from employees, patients, and clients during the shift.
- Escalate unresolved issues to the Division Manager, ensuring professional communication and resolution.
Compliance and Safety
- Enforce safety protocols and regulatory compliance, including vehicle and equipment checks.
- Monitor adherence to HIPAA and other patient confidentiality standards.
Administrative Duties
- Document and report operational and personnel issues to the Division Manager.
- Assist with inventory management to ensure ambulances are fully stocked and prepared.
Qualifications
Licensing and Certification
- Valid State EMS License at the EMT, EMT-I, AEMT, or Paramedic level.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of three years of experience in ambulance services or two years of supervisory/managerial experience.
