QPS Employment Group is hiring a CNC Operator for a company in Brookfield, WI. This is a direct hire role.
CNC Operator Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Perform operation and set up of complex machined components for many different industries
- From written set up instruction, operate machine tools and make offset adjustments to optimize part conformance to print
- Repetitive machining work
- Read blueprints at a basic level and correlate that back to the inspection protocol and documentation
- Some assistance in set up of machine tools under the supervision of a machinist
- Basic understanding of applicable machining techniques and understanding of control functions
- May run multiple machines simultaneously as a production cell
- Knowledge of GD&T
- Use basic math
- Mentor or train Operator 1 team members on certain repetitive jobs
- Other duties as assigned
CNC Operator Requirements:
- High school diploma; CNC Technical Diploma preferred
- 2+ years of machining experience
- Ability to use a computer
- Mechanical aptitude
- Above average math skills
- Willingness to learn
- Stand for up to 10 hours
- Frequent repetitive bending and twisting
- Occasionally walk, use foot/feet to operate machine, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, reach above shoulders and move from place to place
- Intermittently sit, talk, and listen frequently; will frequently use hands to finger, handle, or touch
- Specific vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
- Occasionally lift up to 50lbs and will frequently lift up to 30lbs such as moving parts from material storage and moving parts in and out of work area
- Occasionally exposed to wet, humid conditions and toxic or caustic chemicals
- Frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles and works near moving mechanical parts
- The noise level in the work environment is loud
