Our client, a leader in the automotive and heavy-duty truck manufacturing industry, is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join their team. As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will be part of the Engineering Services Department supporting the Powertrain Installation (PWTI) team. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and excellent attention to detail, which will align successfully with the organization.

 

Job Title: Senior Mechanical Engineer
Location: Greensboro, North Carolina
Pay Range: $45 to $50 

What’s the Job?

  • Designing cooling and exhaust system components and sub-components for Powertrain Installation - Internal Combustion Engines (PWTI-ICE).
  • Ensuring new designs meet business targets and Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Feature (QDCF) objectives.
  • Front-loading work to ensure robust early-stage releases and stable late-stage releases.
  • Releasing components to resolve maintenance issues or meet project delivery timelines.
  • Supporting the development of modular systems and components to optimize part diversity.

What’s Needed?

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering or a related field.
  • Expertise in designing cooling and exhaust systems for internal combustion engines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to meet quality and delivery targets under tight deadlines.
  • Familiarity with modular design principles and manufacturing processes.
