A Brief Overview
The Sales Manager II is accountable for coordinating sales and marketing events and meetings. Leads the sales department and manages all sales operations. Duties include developing sales strategies, training staff, setting sales goals, and establishing customer relationships. Ensure sales revenue meet or exceed goals to keep the company profitable. Tests different sales plans and adjusts the sales strategy as needed to increase profits. Typically manages locations with revenue between 50M - 100M annually.
What you will do
- Preparation and maintenance of budgets for Division sales and marketing events.
- Coordinates all Regional sales and marketing events.
- Introduce and promote all new products to Area Managers and Sales force.
- Coordinates the assistance of vendors in the above.
- Coordinates sales meetings in the Area and in specific portions of the Division.
- Promotes locally manufactured products and EWP products to Area Managers and Sales force.
- Responsible for constant analysis of profit margin, A/R and inventory for assigned region of operations.
- Focus on in-depth analysis of purchasing, pricing, inventory control and administrative functions of assigned facilities.
- Works with Division Purchasing and individual branches to develop quotes and promote the multi-family housing business.
- Complies with Company's attendance policy by maintaining regular and predictable attendance.
- Develops and drives key sales strategies and initiatives.
- Communicates specific quarterly or annual sales goals and motivating the sales teams to achieve goals.
- Monitors the market and competitor products and activities and provides detailed sales forecasting.
- Advises on market trends, competitive price situations and similar market information.
- Identifies where improvements can be made and develops sales plans and strategies to achieve sales goals.
- Examines and resolves claims and disputes.
- Collaborates with the marketing department to design print and online promotional materials for the company's products and services.
- Establishes and maintains key customer relationships; locates opportunities to expand client base.
- Reviews customer activity, anticipates consumer needs, and networks with clients to persuade them to bring new or expanded business to the company.
- Oversees recruiting and hiring of sales staff and develops training programs
Education Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in sales, finance, business, marketing or related field required.
- Master's Degree MBA is strongly preferred.
Experience Qualifications
- 10+ years of prior sales experience and construction background required, with knowledge of building materials
- 2+ years of progressive leadership in the sales and marketing sector with a demonstrated record of successful sales.
