The Financial Operations Supervisor will be critical in improving, creating, and owning processes relating to the company’s financial processes.  The successful candidate is a self-motivated leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment who will leverage his or her strategic and analytical problem-solving abilities to build solid controls and processes.
 

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Supervise day to day operations regarding financial processing of post-sale transactions.

  • Mentor, train, and develop the financial operations team.

  • Implement standard operating procedures, analyze current processes, and recommend changes.

  • Learn operations data flow within the various systems and be a resource to answer questions that arise.

  • Ensure adequate policies, procedures and internal controls are in place and adhered to for all areas of responsibility.

  • Ensure compliance with SOX regulations.

  • Drive to implement solutions that address specific issues or provide improved efficiencies.

  • Create and improve reports used to manage and audit department functions

  • Deliver a superior level of customer service to all internal and external stakeholders.

  • Handle escalated customer service issues relating to customer account activity

  • Routinely Audit and reconcile functions performed by the financial operations team

  • Manage task assignments and delegation of duties of the financial operations team
     

Educational Requirements & Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of supervisory experience

  • 6-8 years of financial transactions experience (one or more of: banking, accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory/receiving, purchase orders, sales orders, collections, bookkeeping, general accounting, reconciliations).

  • Self-motivated, deadline-driven, ability to work independently and in a team.

  • Experience in managing daily operations of a company and implementing process changes.

  • Proficient Excel user

  • SOX and control experience preferred

  • Strong process skills and have created and implemented control processes

  • Detail oriented and strong problem solving and conflict-management skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to build and maintain internal/external relationships ​
