Our client in the aerospace industry is seeking a Contract Hardware Engineer Mid. to join their team. As a Contract Hardware Engineer Mid., you will be part of the engineering department supporting the Water and Waste Systems (W&W) team. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Job Title: Contract Hardware Engineer Mid.

Location: Carson, California

Pay Range: $55/hour

What's the Job?

  • Analyze customer requirements and validate them by analysis/modeling/prototyping or based on previous product performance
  • Create and maintain hardware requirements specification and hardware interface control documents
  • Performs SPICE analysis of circuits using Altium/OrCAD PSPICE tools
  • Performs analysis and MATLAB/Simulink modeling to generate control algorithms
  • Performs component selection & obsolescence management

What's Needed?

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • 10-15+ years of experience in high-complexity electronics design
  • Experience with electrical circuit simulation tools such as PSPICE or MATLAB/Simulink for analog or digital control system design
  • Experience with designing EMI filters and DC-DC converters, including incorporating active rectifiers, gate drives, and voltage/current sensors
  • Understanding of communication protocols CAN, ARINC, SPI, RS-232 etc.
