Northrop Grumman Space Systems (NGSP) is seeking an experienced Software Engineer (Integration & Test) in the Payload and Ground Systems Division Engineering organization supporting our Integrated National Systems (INS) Business Unit (BU). This role is for a Ground software engineer to support Application Management (AM) Software Development. What you’ll get to do: As a Software Engineer on this team, you will support the Application Management team where you will design, develop, document, refactor, test, and debug applications software for a Ground Segment. Ultimately, you will support the program through maturity and milestones to achieve the mission. We have multiple Systems Software positions across the Ground program, on contract to deliver the ground segment for a restricted space program. This role is for an experienced Python software developer where the focus is to support the Ground development efforts. This role is for one experienced full-stack software developer willing to do both frontend/backend work noting that the role will primarily focus on the backend. This individual must have Python experience. The successful candidate will have Python Software development experience, with the ability to digest changes and synthesize them into working designs, generate efficient code according to the specifications, adapt to changes as necessary that are driven by bugs or specification updates or the customer. The candidate is expected to operate independently with little oversight in a dynamic environment, to be highly self-motivated, reporting information to leads and the customer. The individual is expected to handle diverse assignments with efficiency, finding unique solutions and working in a very collaborative and fast paced environment that continues to grow. This position will be located at our Morrisville North Carolina location. This position requires being onsite and does not support remote or hybrid work. This requisition may be filled at either a Principal level (level 3) or a Senior Principal level (level 4), depending on the candidate’s experience as laid out in the basic qualifications detailed below as well as the interview assessment.
