As a Manager Project Management 1 your role at Chandler, AZ will be pivotal in supporting missions critical to national and global security. Ready to join forces with our visionary team? Due to the sensitive nature of our work this is a fully on-site position; hybrid or remote work is not available. Relocation is not available. Job Scope Oversees daily operations in the Major Sub-Systems Cell. Responsible for cost, schedule and technical performance of the manufacturing cell. Works closely with production managers and operations support groups (scheduling, manufacturing engineering, quality, mechanical tech leads) to ensure proper actions and plans are in place to efficiently produce assemblies, with quality and on time to customer needs. Acts as the primary customer/PM contact for all manufacturing activities. Establishes high level manufacturing milestones and monitors adherence to plans and schedules, identifies risks and is able to coordinate activities with different functional teams to obtain solutions, such as allocation of resources, technical requirements, quality issues, etc. Develops mechanisms for monitoring WIP and for intervention and problem solving with line managers, support groups and Programs. Core Responsibilities include the following: Propose, plan/baseline, and execute operations plans, per Scheduling and Customer needs. Work closely with scheduling and production functional manager to plan capacity for the cell. Identify problems that put operations plans at risk and coordinate solutions with different teams. Champion and lead Continuous Improvement activities to resolve problems and improve efficiency. Coordinate responses with functional organizations to keep operations and projects on schedule. As a leader with integrity, you ensure ethical conduct, balanced results, and partner satisfaction. You respect and nurture growth, fostering a culture of excellence. We work a 9/80 schedule (9 hours per day Mon-Thurs, 8 hours every other Friday with the alternate Friday off)
