Pay: DOE plus OT, benefits; per diem available

We are looking for a skilled Instrument Technician to maintain and ensure the reliability of our instrumentation systems in support of our construction an industrial processes. Position Summary: As an Instrument Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of electronic and mechanical instruments used throughout our facility. This role is essential to ensuring the accuracy and reliability of our systems, allowing for smooth and efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, calibrate, maintain, and repair electronic and mechanical instruments (e.g., sensors, transmitters, controllers, analyzers).
  • Troubleshoot instrument malfunctions, diagnose root causes, and perform corrective actions to restore functionality.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance including inspection, cleaning, lubrication, and adjustments to optimize instrument performance.
  • Perform calibration, testing, and validation to ensure accuracy and compliance with standards; assist in the design, installation, and commissioning of new instrumentation systems and upgrades.
  • Document maintenance activities, equipment history, and calibration records using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or a related field.
  • Proven experience as an Instrument Technician in an industrial setting.
  • Knowledge of electronic and mechanical instrumentation, including process control systems, DCS, and PLC (Allen Bradley or Siemens).
  • Proficient in troubleshooting and problem-solving using test equipment and calibration tools. - smart communicators, fluke meters, etc.
  • Strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
