About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Urology Surgeon for a locum tenens position at a Hospital in South Carolina. This 84-day assignment starts on 05/12/2025, covering 24-hour call shifts. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with surgical call duties in a hospital setting. This role offers an opportunity to provide essential urological surgical care and consultations.

Job Responsibilities and Duties: 

• Provide on-call urological surgical coverage 

• Perform a wide range of urological procedures and surgeries 

• Conduct pre-operative assessments and develop surgical plans 

• Provide post-operative care and follow-up 

• Respond to emergency urological cases during on-call hours 

• Collaborate with other healthcare providers and surgical teams 

• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records 

• Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and safety protocols 

• Ensure patient comfort and satisfaction throughout the surgical process 

• Stay updated on the latest advancements in urological surgical techniques 

• Participate in multidisciplinary care conferences as needed 

• Provide consultations to other medical staff regarding urological cases 

• Manage complex urological conditions and treatments

Additional Information: 

• Must be licensed to practice medicine in South Carolina 

• Board certification in Urology required 

• Strong clinical skills in urological surgery and procedures 

• Experience with on-call coverage in a hospital setting 

• Excellent communication skills for patient care and team collaboration 

• Ability to work independently and as part of a surgical team 

• Comfortable managing a diverse range of urological cases 

• Flexibility to work 24-hour call shifts 

• Pre-credentialing process already completed for this assignment 

• Possibility of assignment extension beyond the initial 84 days
