TRC’s client is a leader in healthcare technology looking for an Accounts Receivable Billing Specialist to join their growing team on a full-time, direct hire basis. 
  
RESPONSIBILITIES: 
  • Create batch billing from time records and create invoices for clients as needed; process and submit paper billing for private pay and deductible clients. 
  • Submit and ensure all client’s electronic billing is processed according to payer timely filing guidelines; collect all money due from payers, families, and government entities and process / submit paper billing for private pay and deductible clients. 
  • Review and confirm all EDI reports are accepted by the payers with no rejections; triage and work all EDI rejections as needed. 
  • Ensure all provider numbers, NPI numbers, and general billing information are accurately configured in the client’s database. 
  • Submit documentation to state offices for deductible clients. 
  • Review all claim denials and contact payer to resolve denials for client. 
  • Post electronic and manual payments to accounts; identify and resolve issues with posting or billing through review of accounts receivable. 
  • Assist in retrieving and entering authorizations in EHR, as well as editing / maintaining authorizations and triaging / resolving issues. 
  • Assist in maintaining services codes, billing configurations / rates, running reports to track on hold billing, and communicating between clients, payers, and authorization departments. 
  
REQUIREMENTS: 
  • 2+ years of experience in claims handling, healthcare billing, aging reports / payments, and/or accounts receivable; experience in North Carolina medical billing is a plus 
  • Proficiency with various systems / software applications including MS Suite (e.g., Outlook, OneDrive, Excel (pivot tables), etc.) and prior experience in data entry 
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy 
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities, with a high level of professionalism and a pleasant phone manner 
  • Self-starter with ability to work effectively in both collaborative team-based environments, and independent remote-environments with minimal supervision
