Responsibilities and accountabilities for this Manager role include but are not restricted to the following areas:
- Assist in developing Master Schedule requirements from demand forecast, plant capacity, and historical data.
- Interact with production and sales personnel to update and advise of progress and new developments.
- Manage volume and manufacturing location changes as needed to meet customer requirements
- Monitor inventories of raw material, work in process, and finished good in an effort to minimize costs and achieve plant inventory goals
- Oversee development and maintenance of tools that enhance production planning capability.
- Audit plant for compliance in department standards and practices
- Assure inside sales and plants utilize the ‘system’ through on site auditing and clear tracking metrics
- Maintain accurate needs attention inventory and implement measures for improvement
- Drive continuous improvement through training and strategic planning

Minimum Requirements
- BS degree in business, logistics, operations research, or related area
- 5+ years of experience in a production planning/logistics/materials handling role
- Certificates in APICS, CPSM, Six Sigma, and Lean Manufacturing are highly desired
- Knowledge of AS400 operating systems is a plus
- Proven proficiency in Microsoft Office with specific emphasis on Excel, Access and Word
- Ability to develop processes, train end users, and implement projects to completion
- Capable of managing changing business needs and requirements
- Proven record of applied critical thinking in a variety of situations, and taking calculated initiative to drive improvements
- Effective oral and written communications
