Join Ecolab as our Warehouse Operations Supervisor in Chicago, IL leading distribution operations including receiving, inventory, shipping, delivery, team member relations, quality, and financial oversight of operations budget.  This role is a vital position to enable service to our customers every day.  This facility focuses on fulfilling of equipment and service parts to our field teams and customers. 

What You Will Do:

  • Execute safe and effective warehouse operations for finished goods, including equipment and dish machines.

  • Maintain warehouse inventory control systems, including periodic cycle counts for warehouse and local satellite storage sites.

  • Perform the safe unloading and loading of delivery trucks.

  • Perform the picking, packing and labeling functions for outbound orders.

  • Manage the performance of 3rd party delivery services and local couriers.

  • Manage reverse logistics processes.

  • Assist in leading the local team to implement a new Inventory Management solution.

  • Assess and plan future state technology for the facility.

  • Lead service agenda of shipping and delivering on time and in full within or above service levels.

  • Develop processes and adherence measures to ensure success around proper warehousing practices.

  • Manage the financial budget for the site(s) managed and help identify cost savings opportunities.

  • Maintain a safe and orderly work environment to ensure the safety of our team members.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Local Sales Team, Transportation, Planning, Finance, Quality, Manufacturing, and Safety to deliver projects, productivity and supply chain efficiencies.

  • Manage capital spend projects within his/her scope of duties and fosters strong relationship with local and national vendors/suppliers. 

  • Achieves or surpasses all KPIs around Safety, Service and Savings.

Position Details:

  • Location: 508 N. Hermitage Ave, Chicago, IL 60622
  • Hours: Typically Monday-Friday 8am - 5pm

Physical Demands:

  • Position requires lifting/pushing/carrying up to 50 pounds chest high


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree OR High School Diploma or equivalent/GED and 4 years of experience in a manufacturing, logistics or related environment

  • 3 years of previous supervisory experience in a manufacturing or logistics environment

  • Prior experience with shipping, receiving, warehousing, and inventory control systems

  • Prior experience with Inventory Management tools/systems OR WMS technology

Preferred Qualifications:

  • SAP experience in a warehouse environment

  • 5 years of experience in logistics fulfillment center management

  • Previous leadership and/or training experience

  • Knowledge of ISO or other quality management systems

  • Experience with TPM, Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma systems

  • Knowledge of FDA, OSHA, WHMIS and TDG systems

  • Attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining records

  • Strong customer service, organizational and administrative skills

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication skill (written and verbal) and problem-solving skills

  • Previous experience utilizing ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, etc.)

  • Entrepreneurial mindset, resourceful and the ability to work autonomously

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook, Teams, etc.)

Annual or Hourly Compensation Range

The pay range for this position is $72,700.00 - $109,100.00. Many factors are taken into consideration when determining compensation, such as experience, education, training, geography, etc. We comply with all minimum wage and overtime laws.
