Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Ensures that company standard procedures are followed in connection with purchases of materials and services.
- Plans and organize activities of the material control department to best utilize personnel to achieve short and long-range goals.
- Administer controls on receipt and acknowledgement of materials and supplies and the maintenance of purchasing records.
- Cooperate and coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth flow of materials.
- Analyze demand and production requirements to keep operational targets aligned to needs
- Analyze production requirements against current capacity model.   Identify emerging issues and make proactive changes.
- Analyze and evaluate inventory and supplier delivery problems and recommend solutions.
- Responsible for the management of all activities related to planning of raw material procurement, heading, cut-off, and slug-presses.
- Responsible for forecasting and setting site’s monthly shipment and production to stores goals.Â
- Able to create strategies on cost saving initiatives related to raw material ordering and planningÂ
- Overall Management Responsibilities include overseeing employees in the Production Control, Shipping and Receiving units
- Monthly check of backlog, past dues, main of inventory levels and check late duties for MRP (Material Requirements Planning)Â
- Analyze and evaluate inventory and delivery problems and recommend solutions.
- Responsible for creating more robust systems around level loading (ability to work with operations/engineering/etc.)
- Ability to be a change agent in directing flow on the shop floor that supports the shipping plans
 Skills:
- Ability to manage a high mix of large volume and small lot quantity orders
- Familiarity with manufacturing operations
- Ability to manage a team of 5-10 individual contributors
- Strong interdepartmental communication and cooperation skills
- Advanced understanding of planning, scheduling, and capacity management conceptsÂ
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a management position in Materials and/or Production ControlÂ
- Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this option.
