The Talent Acquisition Specialist, reports to the Talent Acquisition Business Partner of Howmet Engines System Business Unit (BU). He/She will play an instrumental part in building and improving the overall the recruiting strategy for the BU. The Talent Acquisition Specialist will be responsible for sourcing, attracting, and interviewing top talent, while coordinating with leadership to identify staffing needs, improve processes, and implement best practices.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Manage full-life cycle recruitment for open positions at the Business Unit level.
- Provide recruiting support to Howmet Engines location HR teams and local leadership as needed
- Carry a requisition load of 20+ open positions in a fast-paced environment.
- Develop and execute talent sourcing strategies on various channels to identify new candidates, build relationships, and maintain a talented pool of candidates.
- Learn our products and services to attract key talent.
- Identify and champion recruiting best practices such as tools, technologies, strategic outreach, customer service, policies, and procedures.
- Promote company roles and brand on social media platforms to recruit and attract, monitor online feedback, suggest strategies for improvement, etc.
- Utilize key technology to identify and source new candidates.
- Implement strategies around diversity recruiting, or specific outreach to functional specialties.
- Using talent acquisition analytics, market intelligence and industry best practices to communicate and/or educate operational leaders.
- Provide support with job fairs and recruitment events such as campus visits and partnerships
- Interact with all levels of management and business partners to drive “time to fill” and other qualitative measures of recruiting.
- Interact with key vendors to support hiring strategy, including recruiting partners.
- Establish priorities, managing deadlines, exercising a high degree of professionalism in interactions with all levels of internal and external clients.
- Ensure EEO compliance in all aspects of the talent acquisition process.
- Enforce and guide hiring teams on OFCCP policies, procedures, and best practices to internal customers.
- Maintain data accuracy in applicant tracking system per scheduling guidelines as required by EEO / AAP guidelines.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on AAP, EEO and OFCCP for internal customers.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a talent acquisition or human resources field
- In lieu of a degree, will accept 8 years of experience in related field
- Ability to travel to plants and recruitment events, 25% of the time
- Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
- This position entails access to export controlled items and employment offers are conditioned upon an applicants ability to lawfully obtain access to such items.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of experience recruiting in a manufacturing environment, for technical and non-technical positions is highly desired.
- Experience in the Aerospace industry is a plus.
- Experience working with OFCCP hiring policies and guidelines.
- Experience working with one or more Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
- Experience with talent acquisition data analytics.
- Possess advanced sourcing skills finding passive candidates for critical employee skill sets.
