Northrop Grumman Space Systems – Launch and Missile Defense Systems has an exciting career opportunity for a Sr Principal Systems Administrator – DOORS Admin (25-090 & 25-091) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be in Colorado Springs, CO., or Huntsville, AL. Position Overview: The Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program integrates the Missile Defense System. It is a vital operational system that enables the U.S. president, secretary of defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and operational levels to systematically plan ballistic missile defense operations, to see the battle develop collectively, and to dynamically manage designated networked sensors and weapons systems to achieve global and regional mission objectives. C2BMC supports a layered missile defense capability that enables an optimized response to threats of all ranges in all phases of flight. C2BMC is the force multiplier that globally and regionally networks integrate, synchronizing autonomous sensor and weapon systems and operations to optimize performance. C2BMC is integral to all system ground and flight tests, which verify and exercise all current and future missile defense system capabilities. The successful candidates will work under the direction of various technical Leads and interface with team members, C2BMC management, and government customers to ensure high-quality products are generated on time and within the resources available. Essential Functions: Responsibilities include integrating the product lines, generating responsible sections of the capability specifications, DOORS processes and procedures, training less experienced personnel in SE techniques, reviewing the content and details of technical products, and acting as a technical interface to MDA working-level counterparts as required. Must possess the ability to be part of an integrated team tasked with maintaining the physical, functional, and technical requirements baselines necessary to describe the desired capabilities of an evolving BMDS Battle Management, Command & Control, and Communications (C2BMC) effort using the DOORS tool as an experienced administrator. Ability to analyze high-level needs and, through a structured and logical approach, develop requirements management schema and attributes. Able to communicate effectively and clearly present technical approaches and findings. Able to implement engineering plans within a project. Sufficient programming skills to be able to generate DXL scripts to provide manipulation of DOORS data.
