We are seeking an HSE Coordinator eager to develop their skills in managing workers’ compensation claims and supporting health, safety, and environmental (HSE) initiatives. This role is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience with workers' compensation procedures, insurance administration functions, OSHA regulations, and safety strategies to promote a safer workplace.

What will you do in this job?:Key Responsibilities:
- Workers’ Compensation Claims Administration:
- Provide crucial support to the Risk Management team, handling a variety of administrative tasks related to processing and managing workers' compensation claims.
- Maintain accurate records, filing medical reports, inputting claim information, scanning and indexing documents, and ensuring the efficient organization of claim files.
- Serve as the primary liaison between employees, third party administrators, and medical providers.
- Maintain claims data to identify trends and implement corrective actions to minimize workplace injuries.
- Manage all Certificate of Insurance requests on behalf of the organization and third parties
- Oversee additional insurance and risk management administrative functions
- Health, Safety & Environmental Compliance:
- Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of HSE policies, procedures, and training programs to uphold regulatory compliance.
- Participate in workplace safety audits, risk assessments, and accident investigations, providing recommendations for corrective actions.
- Contribute to monitoring and verifying compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other relevant safety regulations.
- Help coordinate safety training programs, covering hazard recognition, injury prevention, and emergency preparedness.
- Promote a proactive safety culture by collaborating with leadership and employees on continuous safety improvements.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in insurance administration with exposure to HSE practices.
- Preferred experience with workers’ compensation claims, including basic reporting, return-to-work coordination, or communication with stakeholders.
- Associate’s degree or relevant coursework in Occupational Safety, Risk Management, Human Resources, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and safety management software.
- OSHA 30, or other safety certifications are a plus.
