Our client, a leader in power solutions, is seeking a Controls Technician in their Whitakers, NC location.  As a Controls Technician, you will be responsibile for maintaining and troubleshooting Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), with a strong emphasis on Allen Bradley systems.  You will also apply your electrical knowledge to support various aspects of the manufacturing operations.

About the Role:
 

  • Perform routine maintenance, updates, and troubleshooting of PLCs, particularly Allen Bradley systems, to ensure their optimal functioning. 
  • Conduct regular inspections, repairs, and upgrades on electrical systems within the manufacturing facility to maintain safe and efficient operations. 
  • Maintains clean and orderly work area, including routine housekeeping and machine cleaning tasks.
  • Schedule maintenance activities around production requirements
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent. 
  • Proven experience in PLC maintenance, with a strong focus on Allen Bradley systems. 
  • Solid understanding of electrical systems, wiring diagrams, and electrical schematics. 
  • Safety-conscious mindset and adherence to safety protocols.
